Power BI vs. Lightdash:Is More Always Better?

Power BI is packed with features, but what does it cost a small organisation in terms of overhead and maintenance? About a year ago, we started experimenting with Lightdash as a potential alternative. Should we migrate all our reports, or just the simpler ones?
With no hard targets or deadlines—we were using the free version of Lightdash—we let the experiment evolve organically. Now, a year later, it's time to look back: What worked well? What surprised us? What did we learn along the way?
In this talk, we'll share our hands-on experience comparing Power BI and Lightdash from the perspective of a small organisation with limited resources to maintain its BI platform.

Várszegi Péter tanulmányait tekintve közgazdász, de viszonylag korán az IT projektek (ezen belül is az analitikai rendszerek) menedzselésével kezdett el foglalkozni. Több különböző szerepkört töltött be több cégnél. Kifejezetten szeret fejleszteni is, így elég sok hobbi projektet csinált, illetve csinál munka mellett. Az egyik ilyen hobbi projekt az előadás során bemutatott dashball.app is. Jelenleg munkaideje kb. 80%-ban a Liligo analitikai rendszereit fejleszti, 20%-ban pedig a 4 fős csapatuk irányítását látja el.
